Malatya Sugar Beet Growers Cooperative was established in 1954 in Malatya.
Currently, it serves approximately 33,574 registered members at six stores.
With this initiative, planters were organized for the first time and established
a cooperative. The cooperative did not receive any support from the state. It
covered the activities with the equity capital of its partners.
The cooperative is under PANKOBIRLIK, which has 1.6 million partners in
7,500 settlements, in 64 provinces of Turkey. Providing employment to 6,009
people in 31 cooperatives with 308 branches, six sugar factories, more than
50 agricultural subsidiaries and the apricot processing factory it established,
PANKOBIRLIK contributes to the economy of Turkey.
Having a share of 85% of production in Turkey and 70% of world production of
dried apricots and dried food, Malatya Sugar Beet Growers Cooperative aims to offer
healthy, high quality products at the most affordable price. For this purpose, the apricot
processing factory installed on 15,000 m2 of covered area and 5,000 m2 of open space
at the Second Malatya Organized Industrial Area, equipped with the latest technology, has
been in operation since 2010. The cooperative has provided all types of technologies to ensure
100% hygienic food production and food security. Investments have been made in accordance
with these principles. Thanks to superior production, washing, drying, packaging, technology in the
factory, vacuums, and gas, soft products are produced in a hygienic manner.
As the cooperative is a non-profit organization, the products are offered to consumers at affordable prices
without compromising quality.
